All Saints Movie in Theaters August 25th and A Giveaway

I've been thinking a lot about immigrants lately. My husband got a new job at a church about a year ago, and in many was I've felt like an immigrant. It's not so much because of the people there, they are wonderful, but there is nothing I can do to change the fact that I don't have history with these people. They don't know my history, strengths, or giftings. They haven't walked with me through my pregnancies, losing my father, or losing my sister.
When I arrived that first Sunday, I essentially arrived with just the clothes on my back. We had experienced a pretty painful church experience, something you don't really want to discuss at a first meeting. It takes time to enter a new community with established friendships. I know it pales in comparison to what it's like to leave your home, your job, and your country, but it made me think again about the struggle immigrants face arriving at a new place and having to reestablish themselves there.
A tiny church in Tennessee, on the brink of closing, welcomes a group of Burmese refugees into their service. They had fled their homes and farms to find a better life for their families. All Saints, in theaters August 25th, shares this remarkable true story of a community embracing the immigrant farmers and together saving the church and healing the community.
