Vacation Quick Stops I’d Love to return to: the Coast of Maine
A couple of years ago my sister moved to Boston. I had never been to "Boston in the fall," so my mom and I took the kids to visit their cousins.
Since I live in Texas, I forget that in other places, you can drive a couple of hours and pass through several states! While we were in Boston, we took a day trip up the coast of Maine and visited several lighthouses. It was breathtaking.
This is the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, ME.
Overcast skies produced an effect in the ocean that overwhelmed me. I stood in awe of the power of the waves crashing on the rocks. I would love to see the beauty of the coast of Maine on a sunny day, but I think I preferred the rainy day.
